The price of Edison Forged wedges is actually about the same as any quality forged iron on the market today. It is not realistic to compare the Edison Forged Wedges to mass-produced wedges from the major brands found in the stores those are usually cast clubheads built on generic steel shafts and grips and assembled in mass… maybe even overseas. The higher lofts (57-63) also feature our unique “X-pattern” between the grooves for even a bit more spin.Īll our grooves made to conform to USGA Rules of Golf. The wall angles of these grooves are designed to allow a sharper groove edge to “bite” into the ball and give you optimum spin at low clubhead speeds. In the higher lofts, which are mostly used with lower clubhead speeds but where you want to maximize spin, the grooves are narrower and closer together to put more groove edges on the ball to deliver more spin. When you choose these lofts for chipping or knockdown shots, they will deliver a more controlled flight/roll relationship. So in these lofts, the grooves are wider, deeper, and spaced a bit farther apart to channel away moisture and grass to help you maximize your control from the rough. In these clubs, the dynamic weight distribution in the Edison Forged wedges will produce all the spin you could ever want.
